The Healing Hands Services
A Universal Healing Circle is a sacred gathering, physical or spiritual, where individuals come together with the shared intention of healing, both personal and collective. Rooted in ancient traditions and sustained by modern spiritual awareness, these circles harness the energy of collective consciousness, creating a powerful field for transformation, peace, and well-being.
The circle I belong to was founded in 1946 based that the late American spiritual healers Olga and Ambrose Worrall. Participation happens in the comfort of your own space, through focused thought and presence. This global healing community remained known only by word-of-mouth until about a decade ago. I joined in the mid-1980s, and as I near the twilight of my life, I feel it is time to open this beautiful, quiet tradition to others.
The Universal Healing Circle welcomes all, regardless of spiritual, religious, or cultural background. No special skills are needed, only the desire to give or receive healing. It is a gentle, inclusive space where energy is offered freely and accepted without obligation.
In-person healing sessions rooted in this tradition continue today at The New Life Clinic, housed within Mount Washington United Methodist Church (5800 Cottonworth Ave, Baltimore, MD). This interfaith healing ministry has offered a peaceful, healing space for over fifty years. Ambrose Worrall passed in 1972, and Olga in 1985, yet their legacy lives on through the weekly Thursday spiritual service and healing hands session. The spiritual time of teaching begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the healing laying-on-of-hands at 11:00 a.m., except on Thanksgiving and Christmas .
Whether you join energetically from afar or attend in person, you are part of a timeless current of healing and grace.
All are welcome. All are held.
In the 1980s, when both my husband and daughter were diagnosed with cancer, a woman approached me and gently asked, “Do you have any objection to prayers from those outside your own religion?” I replied, “Absolutely not.” She then told me about a worldwide, non-denominational healing circle that had been quietly meeting since 1946—twice a day, at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. GMT—to focus healing energy on those in need, whether to give or receive.
That moment opened a door I hadn’t known existed. The Universal Healing Circle was originally based on the healing services of American spiritual healers Olga and Ambrose Worrall, and its existence has been kept alive for decades solely through word of mouth. Each gathering lasts only about five minutes, but the presence of the energy, arising, surrounding, and slowly fading, is unmistakable.
When someone is added to the Circle, their name is placed inside a container and remains part of the energy forever -- transitioning from physical need to prayers of intercession as time moves on. Once the container is full, the slips of paper are burned inside it, the ashes left untouched as new names are added. When the vessel can hold no more, it is sealed with wax and kept sacred for eternity.
After years of quiet participation and much soul-searching, I’ve decided it is time to open this pathway to others. Whether you are seeking healing for yourself or on behalf of someone else, you are welcome to contact me.
You are warmly invited to participate in the Universal Healing Circle. Twice daily—at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. GMT. people from all over the world pause for a few minutes to send or receive healing energy in silence, prayer, or meditation. There is no ritual to follow and no words that must be said. Simply hold the intention of healing, and know that you are connected.
This circle is timeless, open-hearted, and welcoming to all. You can join in from your home, garden, workplace, or anywhere you feel stillness. Even a few moments are enough.
If you’d like someone to be included in the Universal Healing Circle, you may submit their name using the form below. Full names and general locations (city/state or country) are appreciated but not required. Names are treated with respect and are not shared publicly.
For many years, I used whatever vessels were on hand to hold the names submitted to the Universal Healing Circle. I have always believed that something this special needed its own dignity. I let that simmer in the back of my mind and, then, about a decade ago, I awakened with a complete design already formed in my mind, waiting for my potter’s hands to bring it into being. Since then, little has changed, except perhaps the occasional whimsy in the base.
